Chuks is a London based record producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist best known for co-writing “Sugar” for US alternative hip-hop group BROCKHAMPTON. Currently standing at over 390 million streams on Spotify alone, “Sugar” became a viral hit on Tik Tok throughout 2019 and 2020. Chuks collaborated with the group again in 2021 and released “I’ll Take You On (feat. Charlie Wilson)” for their sixth studio album ROADRUNNER: NEW LIGHT, NEW MACHINE.
In addition to his work with BROCKHAMPTON, Chuks writes with a variety of artists and songwriters from his studio in Battersea, London, having recently secured cuts with Raye collaborator Odunsi (The Engine) and co-writes with JLS, Shae Jacobs, Gold 88, Dan Caplen, Bully, Bnann and Charlotte Haining. He has also had previous success working as a session guitarist for Nigerian artist Burna Boy, even joining him on his 2019 tour, playing at Coachella festival and performing live on the Jimmy Kimmel show.
Recent syncs include “The White Rose” and “Save Myself” by Hussain Manawer in the Apple TV+ series The Me You Can’t See and “Kilofe” by Shae Jacobs in the new season of Netflix’s Top Boy.
With deep roots in R&B, Soul and Gospel music, Chuks predominantly collaborates with his brother Chike under the production name Play Dough.
