Charlotte Haining
Leeds native, Charlotte, comes from an electronic music background, having worked alongside a number of well-respected dance music producers, with a noticeable leaning towards all things drum and bass. Responsible for some of dance music’s most exciting and well received vocal excursions in recent years, she has written and performed alongside the likes of Becky Hill, Goddard, Venbee, Ella Henderson, Mike Perry, Hybrid Minds and Friction amongst many others.
In 2021, Charlotte had a string of high-profile dance releases. She co-wrote two songs for one of the UK’s hottest artists, Becky Hill, on her highly anticipated debut album ‘Only Honest On The Weekend’ (UK #7). Becky’s single, “My Heart Goes (La Di Da) (feat. Topic)”, spent four consecutive weeks at #11 in the UK Official Charts, received a BRIT Certified Platinum Award to recognise sales in the UK of more than 400,000 units and surpassed 200 million streams on Spotify alone. During this period, Charlotte also co-wrote the song “Risk It All” by Ella Henderson, which was added to BBC Radio 2’s A List, and featured on Shane Codd’s summer track “Always On My Mind”, which received massive support from UK radio stations Capital and Kiss. Syncs for “Always On My Mind” included a placement on the final of UK TV show Love Island and the use of the song in the trailer for The Only Way Is Essex, Series 29, on ITVBe.
2022 and 2023 has seen Charlotte pen two releases with producer duo Hybrid Minds which feature the vocals of artists’ Tom Walker and Venbee. She has also had exciting releases with Goddard, including the single “Feel Like That” and Goddard’s remix of “Before You” by BCee, Emba and Charlotte.
Whilst Charlotte continues to work as a songwriter for others and perform alongside many of her musical friends, 2023 saw Charlotte sign a record deal with Ministry of Sound for her own artist project.
