Blue

Blue, made up of members Antony Costa, Duncan James, Lee Ryan and Simon Webbe, was formed in London in 2000. Since then, the group have sold over 15 million records worldwide. In the UK, they’ve achieved three #1 albums, three #1 singles, seven Top 10 singles, won Brit and MTV Awards and sung with Elton John and Stevie Wonder.

The band made their debut in 2001 with their UK chart-topping, quadruple platinum-selling album All Rise, following which they secured the 2002 Brit Award for Best British Breakthrough Act. The record spawned four Top 10 singles, with the title track “All Rise” becoming a global smash, attaining Platinum status in the UK and Australia and Gold status in New Zealand, France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Their sophomore album release, One Love, was another quadruple platinum-selling #1, with the title track reaching #3 and being certified Gold in the UK, while also experiencing success in other territories (Italy #9, Belgium #24, Denmark #7, Aus #36 and NZ #5). The single recently surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify.

The group’s extraordinary achievements were recognised by winning the 2003 Brit Award for Best British Pop Act, and this status was emphasised with yet another #1 album in 2003’s Guilty. The title track was again a bestseller (UK #2) and additional hits from the album included “Bubblin’” and “Breathe Easy”. An Italian version of “Breathe Easy”, entitled “A Chi Mi Dice”, with lyrics written by Tiziano Ferro, became the top-selling single of 2004 in Italy (spending eight weeks at #1).

Following the 2004 release of the greatest hits compilation Best of Blue and accompanying single “Curtain Falls” (UK #4, Germany #8, France #18, Spain #7 and Italy #2), the band went on hiatus. They reformed in 2011 and took part in the Eurovision song contest with the track “I Can”, which reignited their success in Europe. Blue also starred in the popular first series of The Big Reunion TV show and tour and have since released the albums Roulette (2013), Colours (2015) and Heart & Soul (2022).

2024 saw Blue embark on live dates across the world, including a much-anticipated greatest hits tour in the UK which included three sold-out nights at the London Palladium and a sold-out Italian arena tour in the autumn. The band will be embarking on a 16-date arena tour of the UK throughout 2025 alongside Olly Murs.

Blue have been in the studio writing and recording new material and have an upcoming album in the works.
