Jack Bessant Introduces ‘Brother Thunder’ EP as a Limited-Edition Vinyl

Kassner Music is proud to be working with Jack Bessant on his solo material alongside the catalogue of hits that he created as the bassist of the platinum-selling UK rock band Reef.

On 26th October, Jack introduced his latest solo work, the ‘Brother Thunder’ EP, as a limited-edition vinyl together with a host of merchandise to coincide with the launch of his online store. This was accompanied by an animated music video for the title track, a high energy single dominated by a foot-stomping bassline and driving guitar.

The ‘Brother Thunder’ EP was the fourth release by the rock and folk artist since he partnered with High Head Recordings in 2020 via his own label, CHEDX Records. High Head had previously distributed Jack’s albums ‘Been Notified’ and ‘Lucky Mountain’ and the EP ‘Peacemaker’.

Jack established The Cheddar Experiment open mic night in 2012 to nurture the local music scene, share songs and jam with other musicians. This led to Jack releasing his first solo album, ‘Been Notified’, in 2015, which was recorded in his farmhouse on an 8-track tape machine accompanied by The Cheddar Experiment band.

“This is my journey… gaining the confidence to just stand in front of a mic with a guitar and a harmonica and share songs from the soul that have meaning, emotion and heart”, explains Jack about his solo project.

Alongside his music, Jack is also a committed surfer and an active member of his local skate community. He has hosted several fundraisers for Cheddar Skate Park over the years including auctioning the white label pre-release of his album, ‘Lucky Mountain’.

“I’m really happy to have signed to Kassner publishing as a solo artist, it has come completely at the right time for me. I feel we have already connected as people and the next chapter in my life is gonna be so much fun – playing live and releasing new songs!” said Jack.
