New Syncs Round-Up Q1 and Q2 2022

With 2022 in full swing, here is a selection of sync placements from Q1 and Q2 this year:

“Forever Young”, The Monochrome Set – Archive 81

Season 1 episode 3 of Netflix’s supernatural mystery-horror series Archive 81 featured The Monochrome Set’s “Forever Young”, co-written by Thomas Hardy and Ganesh Seshadri.

“Place Your Hands”, Reef – NHS Food Scanner App

The 1996 anthem “Place Your Hands” by British rock act Reef, from their No. 1 charting album ‘Glow’, was synced in an NHS Food Scanner App advertising campaign.

“Fade To Grey”, Visage – Exquisite Gucci

Seminal new wave hit “Fade To Grey” by Visage, co-written by Chris Payne, was licensed for the Exquisite Gucci fashion show that took place during Milan fashion week. It was also used in numerous videos across Gucci’s social media accounts. Watch here (placement starts at 08:11).

“Volare”, Dean Martin – The Batman

Dean Martin’s version of Italian classic “Volare”, written by Domenico Modugno and Franco Migliacci, was placed in the soundtrack of 2022 blockbuster movie The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz.

“This Strange Effect”, Unloved, “Don’t Blow Your Cool”, The Caravelles and “Got To Be Real”, Cheryl Lynn – Killing Eve

Season 4 of BBC spy thriller series Killing Eve synced three songs represented by Kassner Music:
Episode 3: “This Strange Effect” by Unloved
Episode 4: “Don’t Blow Your Cool” by The Caravelles
Episode 7: “Got To Be Real” by Cheryl Lynn

“Kilofe”, Shae Jacobs – Top Boy

Season 2 episode 4 of British crime drama TV show Top Boy used “Kilofe” by Shae Jacobs, co-written by songwriter Chuks Chiejine.

“Milk and Honey”, Lizzard – Pistol

Available on Disney+ in the UK, Pistol, the biographical drama directed by Danny Boyle, is based on the memoir of Sex Pistols’ guitarist Steve Jones. The six-part series featured Lizzard’s “Milk and Honey” in episode four, written by Maurice Hunt.

“Snaeha”, Pan Ron – TK Maxx

A 1960s Cambodian cover of “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)” called “Snaeha”, written by Sonny Bono, was licensed in a TK Maxx advertising campaign that celebrates the launch of their website. Watch here.
