Allione Publishing Group 26 April 2010

The Kassner Music Group today proudly announced a deal with one of Italy’s oldest and most distinguished publishers, The Allione Music Group|, to represent its celebrated copyright collection across the UK & Eire.

The Allione Music Group| consists of the three companies Abramo Allione Edizioni Musicali srl, F.M.A. Edizioni Musicali srl and Tornado Edizioni Musicali srl. It was founded in 1912 by Abramo Allione, who was succeeded by his son Italo and the company is currently run by the family’s third generation, Davide and Mario. The Allione catalogue is host to a number of internationally recognised songs stretching from the company’s formation all the way through to the present. All-time classic Tango Delle Rose (from the film Casablanca) sits with 60s successes such as Adriano Celentano’s Basta, 80s favourites Rondò Veneziano and Gilbert Montagné’s On Va S’Aimer and famous Italo disco tracks such as I Like Chopin, Hypnotic Tango (sampled by Bananarama in their 2005 UK chart hit Look on the Floor) and Going Dancing Down The Street (remixed by Turbofunk as Gotta Move in 2007).

Kassner MD David Kassner expressed his pleasure at having secured the deal: “We are delighted to represent copyrights of such heritage and quality as those in the Allione catalogue. It is a collection still not fully discovered by the British public and we look forward to finding opportunities to increase its profile here.”

The agreement with Allione is the third Kassner deal with a major Italian music publisher. The Kassner Music Group already represents the catalogues of Edizioni Curci srl| and Bixio Music Group| in the UK and the Allione contract confirms its standing as one of the territory’s foremost homes for Italian music.
